The recent update to the National Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Strategic Plan has been unveiled by the Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the National Science and Technology Council of the United States government.

The updated plan prioritizes the promotion of responsible AI research and development. To this end, the plan calls for additional funding for crucial agencies in the science and AI domains, including the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the Department of Energy's Office of Science.
